The entrance to the campground was pretty badly chewed up as a result of construction work arising from a new association with the Hampton Inn next door. There was plenty of room for our 42' rig and tow. The manager was very friendly and helpful. There might be a bit of an odor problem if you're downwind of the open wagon that serves as a dumpster. Overall a good spot for an overnight stay.
Well-maintained campground and good facilities, with exception of the water hook-up which was virtually buried in a ground-level box. Lots of space for our dogs. Good access to Portland and I-84. Staff was a little sparky when we arrived but was pleasant during the rest of our stay. We'd stay there again but will avoid the chaos that passes for highways in the Portland area...probably the worst highway signage we have experienced.
Fairly easy access off I-84. If you're a "big rig" towing, you should unhook before going to your site. Access road is narrow and, when we were there, crowded with parked vehicles. Sites are concrete and park is clean and quiet. Wi-Fi is erratic. No pool or other amenities so it's simply a one-night stop-over park...unless you're there for the rodeo. Some sewer/electrical hook-ups are too close to the access road for ready connection. Staff are pleasant.
A pleasant, convenient older campground managed by a very hospitable couple. Nothing fancy and a limited capacity for 42' rigs but we'd be happy to stay there again.
Attractive small park - beautifully landscaped. Limited space for big rigs. Pull in area to register can accommodate only one big rig towing a vehicle and there is not designated area to unhook tow vehicle. Pleasant office staff suggested we pull through the gate and stop further down the road to unhook. This we did, leaving our tow vehicle at the side of the narrow roadway. We proceeded to the assigned site with our rig to find it was occupied so backed into the site beside the one we were assigned and called the office. We had been given the wrong site number and were advised to proceed to the correct site. Prior to doing this we moved our tow vehicle into a vacant site so we would not continue to obstruct the narrow roadway in the event another camper was trying to navigate. With some difficulty we did manage to get our 42' rig turned around so we could back into the correct site. We then walked back to move our tow vehicle only to be approached by one of the "Managers" who (in the best words I can use to describe) told us in a very snotty tone that we could not park our vehicle in the spot we were in. We explained that we had been given a wrong site number and had only placed the vehicle in the spot temporarily out of consideration of other campers who might be arriving. The manager continued to tell us we couldn't park there and we couldn't leave the vehicle at the side of the road either - don't know what we were supposed to do with the tow vehicle while we backed our rig into the site!!!!! This was definitely unnecessary stress in addition to the site fiasco. The other manager later came to our coach and further belabored the mix up until we showed him the map we were given with the incorrect site number circled. He also asked to see the vaccination records for our dogs as he commented that a couple of residents had already been bitten by "Canadian" dogs! We were definitely getting the message that Canadians were not welcome here. Following these events we observed the people in the park and really have to say they did not seem to be very happy or friendly. This seemed to be a strange observation as our 5 months in Florida campgrounds - Naples and Fort St. Lucie - have been wonderful experiences - absolutely great, friendly people whether campers, campground managers or staff. I do hope Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort is the only blemish on our trip. We definitely will not come back and will definitely pass the word to all we meet.
On the dusty side, but overall a pleasant campground with friendly staff. Very good dog run facilities. A little on the crowded side, and we had to leave our tow vehicle unhooked when leaving our site....across a street from the "main campground". Given the other choices available at Cheyenne this is the "premier" campground.
A grungy, dusty facility. After confirming 50 amp sites were available when we called about availability of a site, we were told there were none left after we checked in. Another reviewer has described the attitude here as greedy....we fully agree, and will not stay at this campground again. Fortunately we had only booked for one night, and were glad to leave the next day. There is very limited access for "big rigs".
A cramped but clean park. Nice pool. WiFi said to be available but we were never able to access it during our stay. Other campers were very friendly...as we've found in most parks. Pet friendly, which is very important to us. "Resort" is a stretch, but if we are looking for a place at Port St. Lucie again we'd consider it.
We spent 2.5 very enjoyable months at this great park. Campers, staff , entertainment and facilities met our every expectation with the single exception of site Wi-Fi unavailability...a strange deficiency for a park of this caliber. However, our air card compensated for this missing ingredient and we will definitely return.
We spent a very comfortable, relaxed couple of days here while on our way back home to Calgary after spending 3 weeks in Salt Lake City. We got to attend the County Fair which was being held at the Fairground across the tracks from the park. The lady in charge was very helpful ...made us feel very welcome. We're looking forward to staying there again. A very clean, friendly, comfortable park.
We stayed at this park while attending a conference at Salt Lake City. It has great access to downtown. The site we were provided was fine for our motorhome and tow vehicle. Staff were always helpful and the overall attitude within the park was a very friendly one. There is what should be a very pleasant walking trail along the river behind the park but, unfortunately, some campers who simply will not clean up after their dogs make the path a disgusting, filthy mess.....rubbing their noses in their dogs' "leavings" would be a fitting punishment for these people. We booked a spot for 2008 before leaving.
